Anna Savelyeva

Pianist Anna Savelyeva has been an active performer since making her orchestral debut with the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of eleven. A prizewinner in numerous competitions, she has received first prizes at the Michael Stricharz International Piano Competition and the Stanislav Neuhaus International Piano Competition, as well as winning the Louisiana state division of the Music Teachers National Association competition. She has appeared at festivals throughout the United States, including the Piccolo Spoleto Festival and Chicago International Piano Festival.

Savelyeva studied piano performance at the Liudkevich Music Professional College in Lviv before continuing her education in the United States, earning an Artist Diploma from the College of Charleston and a master’s degree from Tulane University. She completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Georgia in 2025. Her doctoral research centered on twentieth-century Ukrainian piano music, with particular attention to works by Ihor Shamo, Sergei Bortkiewicz, and Borys Lyatoshynsky.

Her work as a pianist combines a broad classical repertoire with a particular interest in bringing Ukrainian musical traditions and lesser-known repertoire to wider audiences.
