Daniel Weiser

Pianist Daniel Weiser is a chamber musician, educator, and artistic director whose career has centered on creating close connections between performers and audiences.

He holds a doctorate in Piano/Chamber Music from the Peabody Conservatory, where he studied with Samuel Sanders and Robert MacDonald and received the Richard Franko Goldman Prize for outstanding contribution to musical and educational life.

Weiser has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and Chicago's Dame Myra Hess Concert Series, and has concertized internationally in Europe, Israel, and Asia.

In 1996 he served as a U.S. Artistic Ambassador Abroad, performing during an eleven-country tour of the Middle East and Asia.

He has taught at Dartmouth College and St. Paul's School and is the founder and director of AmiciMusic as well as co-founder and Artistic Director of Classicopia.

Across these projects, Weiser has championed chamber music in intimate and unconventional spaces, combining performance with conversation and storytelling to create a more immediate relationship between musicians and listeners.
