Giampiero Bugliarello

Sicilian-born pianist and composer Giampiero Bugliarello began playing the piano at four and later entered the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Catania, graduating with highest honors.

After completing his musical training in Italy, he continued his studies in the United States at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., earning graduate degrees in piano performance under pianist Nikita Fitenko. He subsequently served there as an ad-honorem visiting scholar, conducting research into Latin American art music.

Bugliarello's career combines classical performance, composition, research, and teaching. His appearances have included Carnegie Hall in New York, the University Club of New York, and venues throughout the United States and Europe.

As an educator, he has taught and presented masterclasses in a variety of settings, including The Music School of Delaware and the Italian Cultural Society of Washington, D.C.

His musical interests move freely between the classical canon, jazz-influenced repertoire, arrangements, and his own compositions, reflecting a versatile artistic identity in which pianist, composer, and scholar continually intersect.
