Vadim Tchijik

Violinist Vadim Tchijik has established an international career as soloist, chamber musician, educator, and artistic director.

A laureate of major international competitions including the Paganini Competition in Genoa, Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, and Lipizer Competition in Gorizia, he has performed as soloist with orchestras across Europe and beyond, including the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Kharkov Philharmonic, Freiburg Symphony, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, and others.

Born into a musical environment, Tchijik began violin studies at six and gave his first concert at eight.

His training included the Tchaikovsky Central Music School in Moscow, Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon, Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, and further international study.

An avid chamber musician, he has collaborated with artists including Emmanuel Pahud, Pieter Wispelwey, Cédric Tiberghien, Marc Coppey, and Alexander Melnikov.

Beyond performing, Tchijik is active as a teacher and artistic director and leads several French festivals, including Les Heures Musicales de Binic, creating a natural connection with JP Malan Concerts' international exchange activities in France.

He performs on a Ferdinando Gagliano violin made in Naples in 1775.
